Every great adventure starts with a few questions. Whether you're a parent, carer, volunteer, or young person, this FAQ page is here to help you navigate the practical details before the fun begins.

CPAS Holidays are open to children and young people from a wide range of backgrounds. As a Christian charity, CPAS Holidays include Christian teaching, prayer and worship as part of the programme. We welcome young people whether they attend church regularly, are exploring faith, or have no previous experience of Christianity. Our aim is to provide a welcoming environment where children and young people can have fun, build friendships and explore faith together.

No. Our holidays are suitable for those of any faith or none at all – everyone is welcome. They provide young people with the opportunity to explore life with Jesus in a way that is suitable for someone who is looking at it for the first time or for those who want to be stretched and develop their faith.

CPAS Holidays are delivered by volunteer holiday teams in partnership with CPAS. CPAS provides oversight, safeguarding frameworks, training, policies and operational support, while local holiday teams organise and lead the holiday programme.

Together, we aim to provide safe, enjoyable and faith-filled experiences for children and young people.

We want holidays to be accessible to as many young people as possible, so support may be available where cost would otherwise prevent attendance. A conversation with your church to support…. See if you are eligible for a CPAS bursary here.

Our goal is to include and welcome every young person, whether they have faith or not, and regardless of family circumstances, race, gender or sexuality (including those who identify as LGBT+). We strive to make sure that every young person has equal access to the opportunities that we offer. If you want to talk things through with someone to make sure we’ve got everything in place for you and can offer you our very best welcome, we’d really encourage you to contact the bookings contact, Overall Leader or the Ventures and Falcons Office.

Our holidays rely on volunteers serving in a range of roles. Whether you have previous experience or are exploring volunteering for the first time, we'd love to hear from you.

We recommend that you don’t bring mobile phones on our holidays as these can be distracting and get damaged. You’ll be able to call home if you need to though and we provide a number so that people can get hold of you. Each holiday has different guidance on mobile phones so it might be helpful to get in contact with the Overall Leader before you go.

We want as many children and young people as possible to be able to enjoy a CPAS Holiday. Individual holidays vary in their facilities, activities, volunteer capacity and ability to meet particular support needs, so suitability will depend on the needs of the participant and the holiday being considered.

We encourage parents, carers and participants to share any relevant information during the booking process and to contact the Holiday Leader before booking if they would like to discuss specific needs, adjustments or support requirements.

If a participant's needs change after booking, or if you have concerns about whether a holiday remains suitable, please contact the Holiday Leader as soon as possible. They will work with CPAS to consider what support can reasonably be provided and discuss the available options with you.

All our holidays are different so we don’t have a set list that covers everything. But don't worry, the leaders of the holiday will contact you in advance with all these details and more.

Our volunteer teams are committed to providing fun, personable and fruitful teaching programmes. The main focus is to give everyone a chance to explore life with Jesus in a relaxed, friendly environment. This is informed by CPAS' Basis of Faith and Outworkings of Faith. Some Venture holidays may include or refer to topics of marriage, sexuality and gender in their bible teaching or in response to children’s questions. In these cases, all volunteers are expected to demonstrate grace, love and respect, aiming to engage in discussions with sensitivity and understanding. Where relevant, children will be signposted back to their local churches for further information and advice. Please contact the holiday's leadership team if you have further questions about the teaching or specific concerns relating to your involvement.

Our accommodation is as varied as our holidays, and it will be clear from the holiday listing whether it is indoors, in tents or on boats. Most of our holidays make use of dormitories. If you'd like to know more, please contact the Ventures and Falcons Office or the Bookings Contact of the holiday.
