A school residential or retreat day can be more than a one-off event - it often opens the door to deeper spiritual development, stronger relationships and lasting spiritual growth. By taking small, manageable steps, churches can partner with schools to create a richer journey of exploration that benefits young people long after the event itself has ended.
This could look like churches supporting:
On or off-site reflection day
Camping in the school hall or church for one night with evening Collective Worship or Christian RE element
Bringing a teaching programme or compline to the existing school residential
Launching a new RE-themed residential for a specific year group (led by school or church)
